The historically bad storms are over, and the cleanup and return to normalcy are just beginning. We welcome everyone planning to come to Oahu to move forward with your travel plans, but ask for your understanding and patience in the face of a very difficult restoration phase that will be ongoing for many months. Many activities and establishments will bounce back very quickly, but severely affected areas such as the North Shore and certain beaches and neighborhoods will not. Please prepare and be flexible in your plans. If you are willing, we encourage you to donate to the charity of your choice to support restoration efforts. For couples who prefer to have their Hawaii wedding or vow renewal off the beach, here are our top three public garden venues for your ceremony.

Ho’omaluahia Gardens

Imagine saying “I do” surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens. This tranquil oasis on the Windward side of Oahu offers an unparalleled natural backdrop for your intimate Hawaiian wedding. Lush rainforests, serene ponds, and the dramatic Ko’olau Mountains provide an effortlessly beautiful setting for your ceremony and photos. Ceremonies for up to 40 are allowed Monday through Saturday between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. A minimum of 30 days’ advance booking is required.

Foster Botanical Gardens

Conveniently located next to downtown Honolulu, you would never know it once you enter these magical gardens. Although the gardens are public there are generally very little crowds there and the atmosphere is always calm and peaceful. Parking is also free and plentiful. Ceremonies for up to 40 are allowed Monday through Saturday between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Cost is $100 site fee plus $5 per person. At least 30 days’ advanced booking required.

Heeia Gardens

Embark on a journey of Aloha at Heeia State Park, where the enchanting Hula Mound will be the setting for your timeless union. Nestled within lush gardens and blessed with panoramic ocean and mountain views, this idyllic setting blends nature’s serenity with the cultural richness of Hawaii. This venue is available for exclusive use for ceremonies with a rental fee of just $250 per hour, 2-hour minimum for up to 60 guests, Monday through Thursday until 4 pm. Available for Weddings and Receptions
